Job Description

The School of Continuing and Lifelong Education (SCALE) was established to drive the expansion of NUS Continuing Education and Training (CET) offerings in a concerted and strategic way that furthers our mission to be a leading global university, as well as fulfil our role as a public university of Singapore

SCALE aims to

Provide opportunities for working adults to acquire new knowledge and skills from a distinguished university;

Drawing on unparalleled access to the multi-disciplinary expertise of 16 other NUS Faculties/Schools, SCALE offers executive and professional development/training programmes, part-time degree programmes, as well as modular courses that may be taken singly or stacked towards certificates/diplomas/degrees that meet the lifelong learning needs of working adults All programmes are designed and developed in consultation with the industry to ensure relevance and currency

To augment our manpower resources in the School, we are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to join our Marketing Unit

Reporting to Deputy Director (Marketing), the incumbent shall be an integral member of the team managing the full spectrum of marketing campaigns and events to help drive the enrolment of SCALEs various education and training programmes

The incumbent will be emplaced at an appropriate appointment grade, based on the individual merits of the candidate

This role is offered on a 3-year renewable contract basis; renewal is subject to satisfactory on-the-job performance of the incumbent

Remuneration is based on a 12-month salary structure, with annual variable bonus (subject to incumbents performance and the University/Schools prevailing remuneration policies)

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Branding & Publicity Campaigns & Events

Assist in the planning, schedule management, coordination, execution and evaluation of marketing branding and publicity campaigns across various traditional and new media platforms with all stakeholders to ensure timely and seamless execution of marketing campaigns
Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of events such as conferences, workshops, seminars, roadshows and open-house
Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely updates and effective presentation of programme information and relevant content on print collaterals, website and all digital and social media platforms
Work with internal Graphic Designer and external vendors to develop and produce marketing communication and publicity materials including brochures, flyers and banners
Assist in the development of publicity news, articles and video clips through active collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including subject matter experts across NUS
Update and manage SCALEs official social media content in all social media platform such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, to ensure regular effective publication of content that are in compliance with all applicable advertising regulations
Responsible for leads and expense tracking, management and reporting
Regularly assess service standards and cost competitiveness of service providers/partners and provide regular review reports
Conduct regular market research on competition landscapes and any other relevant industry studies
Ensure effective filing and documentation in accordance with the teams SOPs
Provide support for NUS SCALE/NUS-wide marketing-related initiatives as required


Academic & Professional Certification

At least a good Bachelors degree in Business or Marketing from a reputable university
Strong language proficiency inEnglish (both verbal and written)
Proficient in MS Office applications and IT, new media/social media savvy
Sound working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign would be an added advantage
Experience & Attributes

At least 5 years relevant working experience, with at least the last 3 years in a similar capacity and preferably in the higher education and/or executive training/education sector
Strong social/digital marketing skills, and events management skills
Meticulous executor with an eye for details
Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal & written) skills; able to interact and work with people from diverse background and culture
Strong team player, able to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
Resilient, resourceful with good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented and ambiguous work environment
