Job Description

This is an opportunity for a motivated lawyer who is seeking to join a dynamic team of in-house counsels at a top tier-one life insurer This role is required to function independently to provide business stakeholders with practical, timely and effective legal advice General corporate commercial matters will cover a wide variety of legal topics related to life insurance Corporate secretarial support will be another key aspect of this role

Provides professional legal support to senior lawyers in the form of more advanced legal research, drafting of legal documents, and assisting with discovery and preparation for depositions and hearingsAssists in negotiating contracts, agreements or other legal documentsThis position may focus on a specific area of the law and be responsible for the design and maintenance of related records and documentationResponds directly to business unit clients, outside counsel and vendorsProvides corporate secretarial support to the Company SecretaryHelps others develop guidelines, policies or procedures and is empowered with some authority to deviate from existing policies and proceduresProvides recommendations, guidance and training on more advanced subject-matter to various levels of employees

Min 1-3 of working experience in a private law firm or in-house legal roleExcellent writing and organizational skillsSolution focusedGood stakeholder management skills
